  • No, you don’t need any musical experience at all. Lessons will be catered to individual needs and will include music reading techniques in conjunction with other skills.

  • Nope! All music and materials will be provided digitally to the student. Students are more than welcome to print out some of these materials if they so choose, but it is not required.

  • Lessons are currently offered for all levels. Intermediate and advanced level students may be accepted after a trial lesson. Lesson price is affected by the student’s proficiency level.

  • Definitely not! An electric keyboard will work just fine. If you are using an electric keyboard, it is recommended that you a music stand and pedal (if the keyboard does not already come with one). Information can be provided about piano/keyboard purchasing.

  • A parent may be present for the lesson, so long as it does not distract the student or teacher. Lesson time will be utilized in its entirety to provide instruction to the student, so conversations regarding student progress can be requested at the end of the lesson or at another mutually agreed upon time.

  • The typical frequency for lessons is once per week, but ranges from twice per week to biweekly. If students can prove discipline in practicing on their own, they may be allowed to have a lesson less frequently. Schedules will be agreed upon by all parties.
